PPSNE joins other Medicaid advocates in expressing serious specific concern about the Governor's budget proposal. This proposal would leave thousands of low-income working parents without insurance just as the Affordable Care Act, with its promise of expanded health care coverage for all Americans, goes into effect.

As we approach Jan. 1, 2014, and full implementation of the Affordable Care Act, we expect that 25,000 to 50,000 people will have new health care coverage through Connecticut's adoption of the Medicaid expansion. That's the good news.
